Cyclical LA Team

Nick Warnes, Director

Nicholas Warnes (Masters of Divinity, Fuller Theological Seminary, Emphasis in Worship Theology and Art) is the Founder and Executive Director of Cyclical. He enjoys the regular pattern and rhythm of being both the Executive Director of Cyclical Inc and Director of Cyclical LA in Los Angeles. Nick is also a recognized speaker on church planting, international church planting coach, and the president of the board of the Church Planting Initiative at Fuller Theological Seminary. Nick finished his first book in 2014 with Dr. Mark Lau Branson called Starting Missional Churches: Life With God in the Neighborhood. Lauren Begert, Director of Leadership Formation

Lauren Begert holds a BA in Psychology from Western Washington University, an MA in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. With over a decade of leadership experience in Christian Higher Education and Pastoral Ministry, including both teaching and serving as a chaplain, Lauren has long enjoyed pastoring, mentoring, and empowering others to lean into their belovedness and embody the loving will of God throughout the world. A baseball fan (Go Dodgers!), connoisseur of kettle chips, and champion of the practice of presence, Lauren lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband Taylor and two sons: Isaiah (8) and Luke (5). There you might just find her building endless forts, watching "Bluey," or reading nerdy theology books way past her bedtime.

Jaime Lázaro, Hispanic Strategy Coordinator and Coach

Jaime Lázaro serves as a coach and Hispanic Strategy Coordinator for Cyclical LA. His work is focused on facilitating systems to find leaders and support them in their development processes. Jaime is a Theologian, Journalist and Pastor Planter with a broad understanding of the Hispanic ministerial reality in the United States. He is a skilled communicator in the midst of Latino ethnic/cultural and denominational/religious diversity. He has been Director of the interdenominational newspaper El Inter in Los Angeles and has participated as co-founder of the main pastoral alliances in Southern California. He is currently a professor at the Hispanic Center for Theological Studies (CHET) and is pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. Jaime is married to Patricia, with whom they have three children and 6 grandchildren.

Lindsay Kuipers, Assistant to the Director

Lindsay Kuipers is the Assistant to the Director for Cyclical LA. Lindsay is a former Spanish immersion teacher and continues to work with addalingua, an education organization that supports dual language immersion programs around the country. She enjoys assisting Nick in the daily ongoings of Cyclical LA and helps bring order and calm to the organization. There is nothing more important to Lindsay than her family. She lives with her husband, two daughters, and their Goldendoodle, Oakley, in Holland, Michigan. They love to play games, have bonfires, listen to music, read, bake, and spend time by the water, especially at their cottage up north.
